Thrown by causlEngineOf when its argument is not a Graph (#295).

Branch on error.code === 'CAUSL_NOT_A_GRAPH' rather than on the class, in line with the rest of this module's refusals (WasmEngineUnavailableError, CauslWasmNotPreloadedError).

This exists because the alternative is worse in a specific way. The accessor is total over Graph and reports the TS floor for a graph it did not build — a conclusion, not a default. But WeakMap.get returns undefined for a non-object key WITHOUT throwing, so before this guard the same conclusion came back for undefined, null, 42, [] and {}. A caller could not tell "this is a TS-floor graph" from "you did not hand me a graph", and the two demand opposite responses: the first is a fact about the system, the second is a bug in the call.

The Error.stackTraceLimit property specifies the number of stack frames collected by a stack trace (whether generated by new Error().stack or Error.captureStackTrace(obj)).

The default value is 10 but may be set to any valid JavaScript number. Changes will affect any stack trace captured after the value has been changed.

If set to a non-number value, or set to a negative number, stack traces will not capture any frames.

Methods

  • Creates a .stack property on targetObject, which when accessed returns a string representing the location in the code at which Error.captureStackTrace() was called.

    The first line of the trace will be prefixed with ${myObject.name}: ${myObject.message}.

    The optional constructorOpt argument accepts a function. If given, all frames above constructorOpt, including constructorOpt, will be omitted from the generated stack trace.

    The constructorOpt argument is useful for hiding implementation details of error generation from the user. For instance:
